Tip number 1, focus on innovation. Be sure to understand if the event planning platform you’re considering has a history of investing in innovative tools designed to make it easier for planners to create events. Is the platform you’re considering simply following the status-quo, or are they pushing the limits of what it means to plan an event?
Tip number 2, think about the “How” and not just the “What.” Simply because an event planning platform offers many features doesn’t mean that those features will be able to provide you with the value you need to create stunning events. Focus on selecting an event planning platform that cares about the “How.” What is the user experience like when creating an event? Do you get the sense that the creators of the platform truly care about your experience with it? Are support people ready to help you get the most out of the solution? If the answer is no, keep looking.
Tip number 3, ask yourself “will this platform provide increased value over time?” Is the event planning platform under consideration capable of providing you with ever-increasing value. Can you easily clone events, and compare cross-event metrics. Does the platform seamlessly integrate with other key pieces of software? does the company have a history of paying attention to user feedback?
